Tom holds the Diploma in Financial Planning with the Chartered Insurance Institute. He is working towards becoming a Chartered financial adviser and has passed the Investments Planning exam (AF4). In addition, Tom has a degree in engineering.
Tom has a wealth of experience in the Financial Services Industry, having worked as an independent financial adviser in London for several years before joining the Throgmorton Team. Before becoming an adviser, Tom initially trained as a paraplanner in an IFA practice.
Tom takes great pride in his role as a holistic independent financial planner and works hard to achieve the optimum solution for each client’s individual circumstances. Tom’s philosophy is to place his clients’ best interests at the heart of everything that he does. He believes that making the extra effort to get to know his clients well helps to ensure that their true objectives are met.
He has considerable expertise in helping clients to build their personal wealth: including, retirement planning, tax mitigation, investments and family protection in the event of any unexpected events.
Tom specialises in advising medical doctors and has developed considerable knowledge related to the NHS Pension Scheme. Tom also has experience assisting clients and business owners with their business protection needs as well as suitable trust agreements.
Tom is married, has two lovely children and lives in Bromley, Kent. He is keen on all types of sport, as well as reading. He loves the outdoors and particularly taking on big challenges, such as Artemis Great Kindrochit Quadrathlon, London Marathon, London Triathlon and 24 Peaks challenge in the Lake District.
